Sake Glass

Sake glass options may be produced specifically to enhance the taste of the rice-sourced beverage. They also may be created to simply reflect on traditional drinking vessel designs. There are many different glass styles to suit different interest levels in either taste or culture.

For the casual drinker, a standard highball or tumbler drink container can serve as an adequate sake glass. This is especially true if the drink is being served with ice cubes. On the other hand, any wine glass is suitable for slightly warmer temperatures of consumption.

The wine and glass company Riedel has designed a stemless sake glass to serve specifically as a taster. Tradition choko style cups may also be purchased in glass varieties. Like the standard ceramic versions, these chokos come in numerous sizes and shapes to satisfy different aesthetics while maintaining some traditional flair.
