Ozeki Saki
Ozeki saki is the oldest brand of this beverage to be
brewed in the United States. The company celebrates its thirtieth anniversary
in the year 2009. The brewery is located in Hollister, California. Water
from the Sierra Nevada Mountains and rice from Sacramento are both used
to create their U.S. drink varieties.
The history of Ozeki saki in Japan goes back many more years. There,
the company has existed for over 291 years. Those headquarters are located
in Nada. This region is known for its excellent sake water and rice.
Ozeki saki gets its name from sumo wrestling traditions. The term “ozeki”
was originally a title of honor for winning wrestlers. Due to this sport
connection, the company has been presenting winners with what is known
as the “Ozeki Cup” for fifty years.
